Obituary for Marjorie Irene Logan Caesar
Marjorie Irene Logan Caesar, 98, fondly known as “Miss Marge” of Berkshire Town died March 25, 2023 at Springside Nursing Facility.
Born in Pittsfield, August 23, 1924, daughter of the late Charles H. and Florence L. Jones Logan. Marjorie was a 1942 graduate of Adams Memorial High School. She continued her education taking bookkeeping and accounting courses at Berkshire Community College where she graduated in 1965.
Mrs. Caesar enjoyed a long career in administration and finance which included First Agricultural Bank and Berkshire Training and Employment. She also served as a clerk at the Westside Neighborhood Resource Center and Christian Center. She was active within many local organizations which included Elder Services, Ralph Froio Senior Center, and BCAC. She was also an active member of Price Memorial A.M.E Zion Church where she sang in the choir. She was also a life-member of ZONTA of Berkshire County.
Miss Marge who will be remembered for her impeccable appearance which always included a hat, loved to remember people with cards to commemorate the special times in their lives. She also enjoyed bingo and cards.
Mrs. Caesar is survived by two sons, Dennis C. Caesar (Laurie) and Stanley W. Caesar (Heather). She also leaves two brothers, Charles H. Logan, Darrel Logan and her sister, Barbara Brown. She leaves 9 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and 1 great-great granddaughter.
Mrs. Caesar was predeceased by her husband Samuel, son Daniel, daughter Claudia and grandson Matthew.
FUNERAL NOTICE: Calling hours for Marjorie Irene Caesar will be held Thursday, March 30, 2023 from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Second Congregational Church on Onota Street with the services to follow at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at Pittsfield Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to The ZONTA Club for its Scholarship Fund in care of Dery Funeral Home, 54 Bradford St. Pittsfield.
