Obituary for Marion Beauharnois Roulier

Marion Beauharnois Roulier, 93, formerly of Delancy Avenue, Pittsfield, died Sunday, December 20, 2015, at Mont Marie Rehabilitation and Health Care Center in Holyoke, Massachusetts.
Born in Plattsburgh, New York, on November 10, 1922, the daughter of Napoleon and
Viola Beauharnois, she was a graduate of Deauville Academy and Champlain Valley
Physicians Hospital.
Mrs. Roulier was employed by the former Pittsfield General Hospital (now Berkshire
Medical Center) where she was a registered nurse. She then went to work for the Pittsfield Public Schools where she was a teachers' aide at Morningside Community School for twenty years.
Mrs. Roulier had been a communicant of the former St. Mary the Morning Star Church
and was a devoted member of its Rosary Sodality. She was also a member of the Pittsfield Women's Club. Mrs. Roulier was active with the Catholic Schools of Pittsfield Girls Club, and the Pittsfield Community Music School. She volunteered with the Berkshire Museum and its annual Festival of Trees, and in the Glass House at Tanglewood for many summers.
She was a master bridge player who also enjoyed quilting, knitting, and the opera.
She collected antique dolls, glassware, and jewelry, and also created and made her own dolls.
Mrs. Roulier leaves her husband, Winston O. Roulier, whom she married October 16,
1943.
She is also survived by two daughters, Winifred Roulier, S.S.J., of Holyoke, and Marilyn Kirby and her husband, Bill, of Richmond; a son, Joseph C. Roulier and his wife, Pamela, of Pittsfield; three grandchildren, Adam and his wife, Silvana, Aaron, and Maddie and two great grandchildren, Noah and Oliver.
The family of Mrs. Roulier expresses their sincere appreciation to the medical and support staff of Mont Marie Rehabilitation and Health Care Center for their professional and compassionate care.

FUNERAL NOTICE:
Funeral services for Marion B. Roulier will be held Tuesday, December 29, with a Liturgy
of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m., at St. Joseph Church celebrated by Rev. Msgr. Michael A.
Shershanovich, Pastor. Entombment will follow in St. Michael the Archangel Mausoleum at
St. Joseph's Cemetery.
Calling hours will be Tuesday, from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m., at DERY FUNERAL HOME in
Pittsfield. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Mrs. Roulier may be made to the Sisters
of St. Joseph Diocese of Springfield in care of the Funeral Home, 54 Bradford Street, Pittsfield.
