After a long battle with Alzheimer’s disease, Marion Teresa Loehr, 84, formerly of Harold Street in Pittsfield MA, passed away December 7, 2018 in Mesa AZ while under the care of two of her loving sons (Andrew Jr. and Timothy).

She was born on August 26, 1934, the daughter of the late Michael Sokolowski and Mary (Sawick) Styren both from Austria.

Marion was the wife to the late Andrew G. Loehr, Sr. for 44 years before he predeceased her on November 2, 1996.

She was a 1952 graduate of Pittsfield High School. For several years, Mrs. Loehr was a receptionist to the late Henry E. Grover, Chiropractor.

In addition to being a longstanding member of the Sacred Heart Church, she was a member of the Rosary Society and shared her love of music as a member of the church choir and assistant with the children’s choir.

Marion’s pastime included singing, dancing, and devoted reading of countless novels. She was most happy when visiting with anyone that shared their time with her. She was always excited to see any of her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Primarily a homemaker, Marion was a mother to many beyond her ten God given children with an always open door and heart policy.
