Obituary for Mario Baccoli

MARIO 'BUCK' BACCOLI, 84, of 5401 Princess View Place, San Diego, died
Saturday, August 18, at San Diego Hospice & Palliative Care Center. A former life-long
resident of Pittsfield, Massachusetts, most recently of Providence Court, he moved
to San Diego in June 2006.
Born in Pittsfield, August 24, 1922, the son of Angelo and Arigia Migliorini
Baccoli, he was educated in Pittsfield schools.
Mr. Baccoli was employed by General Electric Company as a dispatcher. He
retired in 1985 with 43 years service.
He was a communicant of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, and was a member
of General Electric Quarter Century and Pensioners clubs. He enjoyed being with his
family and traveling.Mr. Baccoli's wife, the former Edith Taglieri, whom he married June 3, 1944,died May 21, 1988.
Mr. Baccoli is survived by five daughters, Christina Castagna of San Diego,
Barbara McConnell of West Sand Lake, New York, Lynda Baccoli of Morristown,
New Jersey, Jeanne Baccoli of Pittsfield. and Laurie Baccoli-Joyce of San Diego;
two brothers, Louis Baccoli of Ocala, Florida, and Dauro Baccoli of Pittsfield;
his longtime companion Tecla Giusti of Pittsfield and seven grandchildren.

FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral services for MARIO 'BUCK' BACCOLI, who died Saturday, August
18, will be Saturday, August 25, at 8:45 a.m., from DERY FUNERAL HOME, with a
Liturgy of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m., at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church,
celebrated by Rev. Geoffrey J. Deeker, C.S.S., Pastor. Burial will follow in St.
Joseph's Cemetery. Calling hours will be Friday, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m., at the
Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Mr. Baccoli may be
made to San Diego Hospice & Palliative Care Center in care of the Funeral Home,
54 Bradford Street, Pittsfield, MA 01201.
Mr. Baccoli leaves his sons-in-law, John Castagna(Christina), Vincent Candido (Barbara),
and Patrick Joyce(Laurie); and was the cherished grandfather of Susan Baccoli, Anne
Matyola, Jason McConnell, Matthew O'Deane, Michael O'Deane, Allyn Vogel, and
Justin Joyce; and proud babbo to numerous great grandchildren. He also leaves his
devoted companion of 18 years, Tecla Giusti. He was pre-deceased by a son-in-law, Bill
Vogel, (Lynda), and a brother and sister.
