Obituary for Marilyn B. Coty
Marilyn B. Coty, 79, of Pittsfield, MA passed away December 15, 2020 at Hillcrest Commons.
She was born in Pittsfield on May 13, 1941 to Donald and Doris Woodin Jordan and was a 1959 graduate of Pittsfield High School.
She married Charles H. Coty on June 3, 1961.
Mrs. Coty worked for Berkshire AHEC as an office manager for 20 years. After her retirement she worked as a sales clerk at Macy’s.
She enjoyed tending to her flowers, traveling to Las Vegas and other casinos in the area, along with walking on the Ashuwillticook Rail Trail with her husband and friends. She adored spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Coty is survived by her husband, Charles “Chuck” Coty; two sons, Daniel C. Coty and wife Tara of Lee, MA, and Jeffrey C. Coty and companion Robbin Emerson of Pittsfield; daughter, Lynne M. Pensivy and husband Rick of Palmetto, FL; nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her brother, Robert and wife Donna Jordan and brother-in-law, Harold Coty and wife Patricia.
FUNERAL NOTICE: Services will be private. A celebration of Marilyn’s life will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in her name to HospiceCare in the Berkshires in care of Dery Funeral Home, 54 Bradford St, Pittsfield, MA 01201.
