Obituary for Marie A. Pouliot

MARIE ANNE POULIOT, 88, of 5l Gale Avenue, Pittsfield, died Tuesday
afternoon at Berkshire Medical Center.
Born in St. Gervais, Province of Quebec, Canada, a daughter of Joseph and Marie Cote' Nadeau, she was educated in St. Gervais, Canada, schools.
Primarily a homemaker, she had, at one time, been a cook at St. Joseph Church Rectory in Springfield, Massachusetts, was an accomplished seamstress, and also did private home housekeeping. Mrs. Pouliot was a communicant of St. Mark Church. She had been a com-
municant of the former Notre Dame Church where she was a longtime member of
the Ladies of St. Anne.
She enjoyed quilting, was a member of the Quilting Guild at South Congregational Church, and everyone she knew and loved has a quilt to remember by.She also enjoyed reading, gardening, and canning.Mrs. Pouliot leaves her husband, Alphonse A. Pouliot, whom she married
January 30, 1956, at St. Joseph Church in Springfield, Massachusetts.
She is also survived by three daughters, Ann C. Meskunas of Dennemora, New
York, Denise P. Jester of Pittsfield, and Lynne M. Furtado of Naples, Florida; two
brothers, Maurice Nadeau of St. Gervais, Canada, and Lionel Nadeau of Montreal,
Canada; four sisters, Gemma Langevin of Methuen, Massachusetts, Rita Bilodeau of
Quebec City, Canada, Aline Nadeau of Quebec City, Canada, and Irene Carrier, of Canada; and ten grandchildren.

FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral services for MARIE ANNE POULIOT, who died Tuesday, January
23, will be Friday, January 26, at 9:15 a.m., from DERY FUNERAL HOME, with a
Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m., at St. Mark Church, celebrated by Rev.
John C Salatino, Pastor. Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Calling hours
will be Thursday, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m., at the Funeral Home.
Mrs. Pouliot is also survived by three sons-in-law, Ted Meskunas, Kevin Jester,
Mickey Furtado; and ten grandchildren, Kate Tambone and her husband, Nick Tambone,
Charlie Meskunas, Peter Meskunas, Sarah Meskunas, Emily Jester, Eric Jester, Kendel
Jester, Rachel Furtado, Benjamin Furtado, and Jade Furtado, as well as many nieces and
nephews. She was pre-deceased by six brothers.
