Obituary for Margaret A. Welch

Margaret Alice Welch, 79, of 32 Old Stockbridge Road, Lenox, died Thursday,
January 17, 2013, at Berkshire Medical Center.
Born in Great Barrington on July 9, 1933, a daughter of Frank and Mary Verchot VanDeusen, she was educated in Great Barrington schools and was a graduate of Searles High School.
Mrs. Welch had been employed as a housekeeper at the Red Lion Inn in Stockbridge for many years.
Mrs. Welch is survived by four sons, Edward Welch and his wife, Linda, of
Pittsfield, Melvin Welch, Jr., and his wife, Paula, of Pittsfield, Alan Welch of Clifton
Park, New York, and Timothy Welch of Pittsfield; two daughters, Debbie St. John and
her husband, Jeff, of West Stockbridge, and Melody Welch of Pittsfield; eight grand-
children and seven great grandchildren.
She was pre-deceased by her sister, her brother, a grandson, Melvin Welch, III.,
and her former husband, Melvin R. Welch, Sr.

FUNERAL NOTICE Funeral services for Margaret Alice Welch are private. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Mrs. Welch may be made to the American Cancer Society or to St. Jude
Children's Research Hospital both in care of DERY FUNERAL HOME, 54 Bradford Street, Pittsfield.
