Obituary for Margaret Spence

Margaret Spence, age 77, of West Street, died Sunday April 10, 2016 at Berkshire Medical Center. She was born on December 1, 1936 in Savannah, Georgia, the daughter of the late William and Margaret Hanberry Solomon. She graduated from Trenton Central High School, Trenton, NJ.
Mrs. Spence had worked as a presser for nine years at Jennifer House, retiring in 1993. Previously, she had worked for 1 ½ years for Quality Linen in North Adams.
Mrs. Spence married Clifford Spence on July 15, 1978; he died on November 29, 2014.
Mrs. Spence is survived by her son: Charles Moore of Pittsfield; her two daughters: Debra Gaines of Willingboro, NJ and Eleanor Moore of Pittsfield with whom she lived; nine grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by three brothers: Henry Small, Henry Mountrie, and Quenton Mountrie; three sisters: Janie Mountrie, Geneve Mountrie, and Clarissa Mountrie; and her grand-daughter: Nicole Gaines.

FUNERAL NOTICE Funeral services will be held TUESDAY, APRIL 19, 2016 at 1:00 PM at the DERY FUNERAL HOME, 54 Bradford Street, Pittsfield with burial in Pittsfield Cemetery. A visiting hour will preceed the funeral beginning at 12:00 PM NOON at the funeral home.
