Obituary for Margaret C. Pettibone

Margaret Charlotte Pettibone, 93, of Providence Court, Pittsfield, formerly of Hamlin Street,
died Tuesday, February 18, 2014, at Berkshire Medical Center.
Born in Pittsfield on August 7, 1920, a daughter of Conrad W. and Louise M. Grandshaw Bigelow, she was educated in Pittsfield schools.
Mrs. Pettibone was employed by the former A.H. Rice Silk Mill as a machine operator. She retired on March 22, 1988, with 29 years service.
She was a communicant of St. Joseph Church.
Her husband, Kenneth E. Pettibone, died June 16, 1951.
Mrs. Pettibone is survived a brother, Daniel Bigelow, of Springfield; two sisters, Veronica
Martin of Pittsfield, and Louise Ludbrook of Pittsfield, five grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, and
two great great grandchildren.
She was pre-deceased by her two sons, Robert D. Pettibone, late of Rochester, New Hampshire,
and Burgess K. Pettibone, late of Farmington, New Hampshire; as well as two brothers, Arthur Bigelow
and John Bigelow; and a sister, Celinda Mendel.

FUNERAL NOTICE:
Funeral services for Margaret Charlotte Pettibone will be held in the Spring. Burial will be in
St. Joseph's Cemetery. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be
made to Elder Services of Berkshire County in care of DERY FUNERAL HOME, 54 Bradford Street, Pittsfield.
