Obituary for Margaret "Peggy" Mazza

Margaret O. 'Peggy' Mazza, 94, of Benedict Road, Pittsfield, died Thursday, June 2, 2016, at Mt. Greylock Extended Care Facility.
Born in Pittsfield on June 1, 1922, the daughter of Noah and Anna Petell Erbin, she was
educated in Pittsfield schools.
Mrs. Mazza was a homemaker. Prior to her marriage, she had worked at Rice's Silk
Mill. Mrs. Mazza was a communicant of the former St. Mary the Morning Star Church.
She enjoyed entertaining at her home, baking, and cooking. She also enjoyed playing
cards. Her husband, Louis J. Mazza, died November 2, 2008.
Mrs. Mazza is survived by a daughter, Mary Ann Engle and her husband, Robert, of
Pittsfield, and two grandchildren, Shane Engle and Patrick Engle.
She was pre-deceased by three brothers, Eugene Erbin, Louis Erbin, and Ernest Erbin,
and three sisters, Gladys Pretto, Flora Thibodeau, and Doris Spaulding.

FUNERAL NOTICE:
Funeral services for Margaret "Peggy" Olive Mazza will be held Tuesday, June 7, at 8:15
a.m., from DERY FUNERAL HOME with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 9:00 a.m., at St. Joseph
Church celebrated by Rev. Msgr. Michael A. Shershanovich, Pastor. Burial will follow in St.
Joseph's Cemetery.
Calling hours will be Monday, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice Care in The Berkshires in care of the Funeral Home, 54 Bradford Street, Pittsfield.
