Obituary for Margaret E. "Betty" Barry

Margaret Elizabeth "Betty" Barry, age 86, of Lakeway Drive, Pittsfield died Tuesday, May 2, 2013 at her home. She was born in Lynn, Massachusetts on March 11, 1927, the daughter of the late John E. and Margaret L. Henderson Johansson. She was a graduate of Lynn High School.
Primarily a homemaker, Betty enjoyed playing cards, cooking, and swimming in her son's pool with her "grand-dog" Daisy. She was also an avid Red Sox and Patriots fan.
Betty married Sherwood L. "Woody" Barry on September 11, 1946.
Besides her husband, Betty is survived by two sons: Stephen L. Barry and his wife Carolyn of Chesterfield, Virginia, Dennis C. Barry and his wife Sharon of Pittsfield, Massachusetts; two daughters: Michelle A. Worth and her husband Mark of Castine, Maine, and Sandra H. Barry of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; seven grandchildren: Kimberly A. Evans, Heather L. Barry, Kristie L. Gentile, Jason K. Barry, Matthew J. Gentile, Tyler C. Barry, and Rebecca S. Barry; and four great-grandchildren: Alaina, Zachary, Ava, and Tula. .

FUNERAL NOTICE
Funeral services for Margaret E. "Betty" Barry will be private and at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours. Memorial donations may be made in Betty's memory to either The Christian Center or to HospiceCare in the Berkshires in care of the DERY FUNERAL HOME, 54 Bradford Street, Pittsfie
