Obituary for Margaret M. Barents

MARGARET MEEHAN BARENTS, 89, of Dalton, passed peacefully into the
hands of the Lord on Sunday, February 8.
Born in Pittsfield, October 11, 1919, the daughter of James and Margaret Scholz
Meehan, she was educated in Pittsfield schools.
Mrs. Barents had been employed by Berkshire Medical Center as a receptionist-secretary in the Radiology-Oncology Department for nine years.
She had been a communicant of the former St. Mary the Morning Star Church
and a member of its Rosary Society.
Her husband, Bruce F. Barents, died February 11, 1970. Mrs. Barents is survived by three daughters, Peggy Brown of Pittsfield; Patty
Nicklaw of Pittsfield, and Teresa Barents-VanBramer of Hinsdale; seven grandchildren
and four great grandchildren. She was pre-deceased by a daughter, Pamela J. Barents
who died August 31, 2004.


FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral services for MARGARET MEEHAN BARENTS, who died Sunday,
February 8, will be private. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Mrs. Barents may be made to Dalton Ambulance and Rescue in care of
DERY-FOLEY FUNERAL HOME, 890 East Main Street, Dalton.
