Obituary for Lucy J. Jones

LUCIE JOSEPHINE JONES, 74, of 514 Main Street, Lanesborough, died Tuesday afternoon at her home.
Born in Pittsfield, August 27, 1932, the daughter of Edwin and Stella Buianowicz Brower, she attended Pittsfield schools and was a graduate of Pittsfield High School.
Mrs. Jones had, at one time, worked at General Electric Company. She was later
employed as a clerk on the Service Desk at the former Hills and Ames stores. Most recently, she took care of her great grandchildren during the day and worked as Service Desk Clerk evenings at Marshall's Department Store. She retired in February 2006 due to ill health.
She was a communicant of St. Agnes Church in Dalton. Mrs. Jones is survived by two sons, Charles W. Jones, Jr., of San Antonio, Texas,
and Daniel S. Jones of Knoxville, Tennessee; two daughters, Susan M. Kerr of Pittsfield
and Teresa A. Kardasen of Hinsdale; a brother, Charles Brower of Pittsfield; five grand-
children and two great grandchildren.

FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral services for LUCIE JOSEPHINE JONES, who died Tuesday, March 20,
will be Friday, March 23, at 12:30 from DERY-FOLEY FUNERAL HOME, with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 1:00 p.m., at St. Agnes Church celebrated by Rev. Christopher J. Malatesta, Pastor. Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Calling hours will be Friday, beginning at 11:30 at the Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Mrs. Jones may be made to the Berkshire Visiting Nurse
Association or to HospiceCare in The Berkshires in care of the Funeral Home, 890 East
Main Street, Dalton. Mrs. Jones leaves her five grandchildren, Angela Lee, Brady Kerr, Joshua Kardasen, Arliegh Jones, and Benjamin Jones; and her two great grandchildren, Kyle Lee and Cameron Lee. She was pre-deceased by two brothers, Lawrence and Edwin Brower.
