Obituary for Lucille L "Lou" Charbonneau (St. Germain)

Lucille L. (St Germain) Charbonneau, 93, of Pittsfield, MA, passed away on February 20, 2018. “Lou” was born in Webster, MA, on June 3, 1924; graduated from Bartlett High School in 1943; and married the love of her life, Albert J. Charbonneau, on September 14, 1946. She was a homemaker until she was widowed in 1975, then began a career in nursing until her retirement. Love of family meant everything to Lucille, and she strove tirelessly to care for her children and grandchildren with compassion and to guide them throughout their lives.
Lucille is survived by her daughter, Diane Charbonneau, and son-in-law, Daniel McMorris; her grandchildren, David, Renee, Danielle, Liana, and Derek; her great-grandchildren, Anna, Trevor, Naylani, Devin, and Rose; her daughters-in-law Beth and Marla; and her two siblings, Lorraine and Muriel. She was predeceased by her husband, Albert; her two sons, David and Richard; her eight other siblings; and many dear relatives and close friends. She was humorous, lively, compassionate, loving, and generous. Hobbies she enjoyed included reading, music, tennis, walking, traveling, sewing, and baking. She gave to many charities, especially St Jude Children’s Research Hospital and various veterans’ causes.
A memorial mass will be held at St Joseph Church on June 16, 2018, at 9 AM, followed by burial services at St Joseph Cemetery, both in Pittsfield. Family condolences may be mailed to 494 Pomeroy Avenue, Pittsfield, MA 01201.
