Obituary for Louis W. Rock

LOUIS WILFORD ROCK, 68, of 434 Main Street, Becket, died Wednesday morning at his home.
Born in Pittsfield, August 25, 1938, a son of Henry E. and Venice J. Madru Rock,
he attended schools in the town of Washington and graduated from Pittsfield High
School. A machinist by trade, Mr. Rock had been employed by Lenox Machine, Beloit
Corporation, E.D. Jones, Peter J. Schweitzer mills, and Haddad Rug.
At one time, he had been a Boy Scout leader. He enjoyed golf. Mr. Rock leaves his wife, the former Faith E. Frisbie whom he married February
7, 1959. Besides his wife, he is survived by three sons, William H. Rock of Pittsfield,
Matthew L. Rock of the town of Washington, and Theron W. Rock of Lee; three
daughters, Deborah E. Ragland of Eastman, Georgia, Tina L. Bradbury of Adams, and
Mary V. Benecke of Scottsdale, Arizona; two brothers, Henry E. Rock, II., of
Middlefield, and Joseph A. Rock of Lee; three sisters, Mary Jane Methe of Washington,
Margaret A. Lynch of Pittsfield, and Cecelia A. Rock of Pittsfield; fourteen grandchildren and three great grandchildren. He was pre-deceased by a brother, John A. Rock,and two sisters, Flora A. Ellsworth and Theresa A. Flynn.
A Memorial Service for Mr. Rock was held Saturday, September 16, at the First
Congregational Church, with Rev. Michael C. Nash, Pastor, officiating. In lieu of
flowers, contributions in memory of Mr. Rock may be made to the Lee Regional Visiting
Nurse Association in care of the DERY-FOLEY FUNERAL HOME, 890 East Main
Street, Dalton.
