Obituary for Louis Walter Doyle
Louis Walter Doyle, 88, of Dalton, passed away December 2, 2021 at Berkshire Medical Center.
Born in Pittsfield on April 28, 1933, to William J. and Minnie Beitzel Doyle. He was a United States Army Veteran and served in the Korean War.
Louis was a cabinet maker for many years. He enjoyed sailing and fishing on Cape Cod. As a jack of all trades, he could repair most anything. He was an avid collector of quality tools and took pride in restoration. He enjoyed having coffee with friends at the former Dalton General Store. Those who knew him will remember his never-ending sense of humor.
He is survived by his son, Michael L. Doyle and wife Nancy of Yardley PA, daughter, Linda J. Hodlin and husband Gary of Plymouth, MA, and son, Thomas G. Doyle and wife Jean of Dalton. As well as six grandchildren, Nicholas Doyle, Liam Doyle, Gregory Hodlin, Erica Hodlin, Emily Doyle and Anna Doyle.
A memorial service for Louis will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in his name to the VA or to Elder Services in care of Dery Funeral Home, 54 Bradford St, Pittsfield, MA 01201
