Obituary for Louis J. Cimini

Louis Joseph "Skip" Cimini, 66, of 65 Columbus Avenue Columbia Arms, died Friday at his home. Born in Pittsfield on April 30, 1942 a son of RosaLee B. Smith Cimini Sibbio and the late Tullio P. Cimini, Sr. He attended schools in Pittsfield and had served in the US Navy. He was last employed as a track man for Penn Central and Conrail Railroads for over 20 years retiring in 1992. He enjoyed CB radio. Fishing and was an avid wrestling fan. His wife the former Carolyn E. "Connie" Schaefer whom he married July 2, 1963 died March 25, 2008. Besides his mother and her longtime companion Frederick Bellinger of Blandford, Ma. He leaves six daughters, Sharon Ciepiela and her husband Stephen of Lanesboro, Rosa-Lee Parker and her husband Sean of Pittsfield, Barbara Gauvin of Pittsfield, Tawnya Kennedy and her husband Carey of Lanesboro, Brenda Tucker and her husband Scott of Pittsfield and Dawne Cimini of Lanesboro. A brother Norman E. Cimini and his wife Diane of South Carolina. A sister, Cynthia J. Cimini of Dalton. 15 Grandchildren and 26 Great Grandchildren. He was predeceased by a son, William E. Pierce and by a daughter, Carol E. Graves and by a brother Tullio P. Cimini, Jr.


Funeral notice: A memorial service for Louis J."Skip" Cimini who died January 23, 2009 will be held Friday, January 30th at 1:00 P.M. at DERY FUNERAL HOME, with the Rev. William D. Furey officiating. The family will receive relatives and friends at the funeral home on Friday from 12 noon until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers memorials in his memory may be made to the Massachusetts Audubon Society in care of the funeral home.
