Obituary for Louis T. Brown

LOUIS T. BROWN, 56, of 879 Wade Inn Road, Becket, died Thursday morning at his home after a short illness. Prior to moving to Becket in November 2005, he had resided in Granby for 16 years.
Born in Hampton, Virginia, February 27, 1950, the son of James Robert and Betty
F. Bellamy Brown, he was educated in Virginia, Baltimore, Maryland, and North
Carolina schools, and graduated from high school in 1968. He was also a graduate of Springfield Technical Community College.
A VietNam veteran, he served as a Private First Class in the Army from July
1969 to December 1971. A master mechanic and electrician, Mr. Brown was employed by Solutia
(formerly Monsanto) in Springfield from 1979 until retiring in April 2005.
Since 1995, he has owned and operated Louis Thomas Brown Electrical and
Mechanical, L.L.C. in Granby until he became ill in January 2006. Mr. Brown attended Becket Federated Church. He was a member of the
Electrician's Union and a member of the National Rife Association. He was a jack-of-all trades, enjoyed working with his hand, and loved cars.
Mr. Brown leaves his wife, Lisa Williams.
Besides his wife, he is survived by a son, Jermaine Denson of Brooklyn, New
York, a daughter, Erica Howard of Springfield, and a granddaughter.

FUNERAL NOTICE: A private graveside service for LOUIS T. BROWN, who died Thursday, October
5, will be held in North Becket Cemetery with Rev. Michael C. Nash, Pastor of Becket
Federated Church, officiating. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers,
contributions in memory of Mr. Brown may be made to Hospice Care in The Berkshires
or to American Cancer Society in care of the DERY-FOLEY FUNERAL HOME, 890 East Main Street, Dalton.
Mr. Brown also leaves his granddaughter, Brieana Howard.
