Obituary for Lorraine T. Wechter

Lorraine T. Wechter, 93, of Becket, MA., died peacefully on Saturday February 25, 2017, at Berkshire Medical Center surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Winooski, Vermont on December 25, 1923, the daughter of the late John and Ida Dubuque Myers, she was educated in local schools and was a 1940 graduate of St. Joseph High School.
A homemaker, Lorraine was also a member of the Becket Senior Center.
She is survived by her son; Keith G. Wechter of Hinsdale, MA.; a daughter; Sherry M. Goodermote and her husband Albert of Becket, MA.; two grandchildren; and many beloved nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband; George A. Wechter, Jr. who died December 22, 1990; a daughter; Susanne L. Wechter who died October 10, 2011; her brother; Kenneth Meyers and her sister; Anita C. Collins.

Funeral Services – Calling hours for Lorraine T. Wechter will be held Sunday March 5, 2017 from 1 to 4 p.m. at DERY-FOLEY FUNERAL HOME, 890 E. MAIN ST., DALTON, MA., Burial will take place in the spring at North Becket Cemetery. Memorial donations in memory of Lorraine may be made to the funeral home to assist his family with funeral expenses.
