Lois M. Staffin, 84, of Dalton, MA, formerly of Mountain Drive in Pittsfield, passed away June 1, 2021 at Craneville Place.
She was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on December 18, 1936 to the late Edward and Florence Lee Jonas. She was educated in West Allas, Wisconsin schools, and was a 1955 graduate of Central High School.
She and Carl H. Staffin were married on November 28, 1959 and moved to Anderson, California. They then settled in Pittsfield where they were founding members of the Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church. Lois enjoyed the piano and shared her talents by playing the organ for the congregation at Faith for many years.
Lois graduated from North Adams State College in 1978 with a Bachelor’s degree in History. She was employed as an administrative assistant at Beloit Jones for 18 years, retiring in 1996.
She enjoyed reading, playing bridge and basket weaving.
She was predeceased by Carl on December 11, 1997. She married John J. Macchi July 31, 2005. He died on November 29, 2018.
Mrs. Staffin is survived by two sons, Dr. Bryan D. Staffin (Mary) of Buchanan, MI, and David E. Staffin (Jill) of Cheshire, MA, four grandchildren, Nathan D. Staffin, and Nicholas C. Staffin of Adams, Samantha C. Staffin of Manchester, CT, Michaela G. Staffin of Granger, IN., and her sister-in-law, Suzanne Urban (Robert) of the state of Florida.
Funeral Notice: Graveside services will be private. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in her name to the Berkshire Humane Society in care of Dery Funeral Home, 54 Bradford St, Pittsfield, MA 01201.
