Obituary for Lois Emeline Pinna (Guyette)

Lois Emeline (Guyette) Pinna 80, of Berkshire Town Apartments, died January 1, 2023 with her family at her side. She was born in in Pittsfield on September 21, 1942 and was the daughter of Clovis L .and Elizabeth J. Allen Guyette and was a 1960 graduate of St. Joseph High School. Lois was employed for twenty years by Raymond F. Haling, MD where she managed the office and made many lifelong friendships with her co-workers as well as patients. She was communicant of St. Charles Church.

She enjoyed an amazing life and meant many things to many people. She loved her family more than anything and was always there supporting them in any way she could. While raising her children, she was a Girl Scout and Cub Scout leader and made sure they had enjoyed life to the fullest, taking trips to Cape Cod and many camping trips. She was their biggest advocate for all the things they did, supporting baseball and band and the many things her children were involved with. Her children will forever remember camping with “Aunt Sue” and the many adventures that involved! Later, she and her husband enjoyed taking care of their grandchildren and attending all their events and just spending as much time as she could with them, she was incredibly proud of all of them and the adults they became. She also enjoyed her trips to the Maine coast with her husband and family and later, her annual mother and daughter trips there, spending time on the beach and enjoying lobster and steamers. Lois was an avid, reader and in particular loved reading about history.

She is pre-deceased by her first husband, Lowell Lizotte, who passed away in 1972. She is also pre-deceased by her husband John B. Pinna, in 2017. She is survived by her children, Renee (Mark) Broadbent of Longmeadow MA, William Lizotte, of North Adams, MA, grandchildren, Kirsten Lizotte, Jordan Broadbent and Colin Broadbent; her sisters Elizabeth (Kenneth) Luscier, and Marilyn (Lou Sergiacomi) Choquette, beloved nephews, Michael Armstrong, Patrick ( Trista ) Armstrong and Jason (Collen Meany) Linker, great nieces and nephew, Haylee Armstrong, Cameron Armstrong and Eva Linker and her very special goddaughter, Jennifer Gwozdz and her family. She is also survived by her lifelong and childhood friend Mary Ellen Flynn Daury, as well as many others who were amazing friends throughout her life. Lois was an incredible person, and she will be missed by all those whose life she touched.

FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral services for Lois E Pinna, will be held, Saturday, January 14, 2023 with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 9 a.m. at St. Charles Church celebrated by Fr. Daniel Cymer. Burial will follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery. There are no calling hours.
