Obituary for Lisa Jane Talis

It is with heavy hearts that we share that Lisa Jane Talis was taken into the loving arms of her Higher Power on Monday, April 25th at the home of her daughter.

The daughter of Anthony and Loralee (Carr) Talis, Lisa was born in Pittsfield on June 29, 1964. She attended Pittsfield schools and Virginia Commonwealth College. She was a graduate of the BCC Culinary Arts program.
An accomplished chef and baker, Lisa is survived by her children, Peter Hubby (Cindy) of Dalton, Amber Guild and Loren Guild III, of Georgia, Calista Talis (Nicholas Chicoine) of Pittsfield and Charles Talis of Adams, as well as her grandchildren, Irelyn, Michael, Malory, Seth, Loren IV, and Emerson.

Besides her parents and children, survivors include her loving sister, Shari Talis Worsham and her brothers, Paul Callahan and Matthew Pulasky.

Lisa was predeceased by her husband Willis Merson and her grandparents; Charles and Marjory Carr; Louis and Mary Talis; and Peter and Elizabeth Pulasky, as well as several aunts and uncles.

She leaves aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends who will miss her, including her companion cat, Berlios.

FUNERAL NOTICE: Calling hours will be held, Wednesday, May 4, 2022 from 1 to 2 p.m. at Dery Funeral Home, followed by a memorial service at 2 p.m. celebrated by Rev. Joel Huntington. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The George Crane Center, or to the Eleanor Sonsini Animal Shelter in care of Dery Funeral Home, 54 Bradford St, Pittsfield, MA 01201.
