Obituary for Linda M. Therrien

Linda Marie (Thompson) Therrien, age 70, of Appleton Avenue, died Wednesday, March 29, 2017 at Berkshire Medical Center. She was born in Pittsfield on January 20, 1947, the daughter of Charles F. and Barbara Londergan Thompson. She graduated from Pittsfield High School in 1964.
Prior to retirement, she was employed as an executive assistant for the Pittsfield Boys and Girls Club for several years. She had previously been employed for several years at Crane and Co..
Linda's greatest joy in life was her family, especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed traveling, reading, writing, cooking, the arts, and volunteering to strengthen the lives of the people in the Berkshire community. Linda was loved by many because of her generous heart and willingness to always help others.
Linda is survived by her parents and her three children: Craig Cafarelli (and his wife Diane) of Mendon, MA, Jill Lemieux (and her husband Stephan) of Bellbrook, OH, and Scott Cafarelli (and his wife Kathleen) of Dudley, MA; seven grandchildren: Anthony, Emily, Arianna, Sebastian, Alexandra, Lance, and Jack; one brother: Charles (and Nancy) Thompson of Lenox, MA; and three sisters: Jackie (and Steve) Flossic, Paula Gaherty (and Tom), and Sharon Lesage, all of Pittsfield. She was pre-deceased by her loving companion: Richard Forte.

Calling hours will be SUNDAY from 5:00 to 6:00 PM at the DERY FUNERAL HOME, 54 Bradford Street, Pittsfield. Funeral services will follow at 6:00 PM at the funeral home with Rev. Msgr. Michael A. Shershanovich, pastor of St. Joseph Church, officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Pittsfield Boys and Girls Club in Linda's name.
