Obituary for Linda M. Ross

Linda M. Ross, 67, of 41 Cleveland Street in Pittsfield died Saturday at Berkshire Medical Center. Born on May 24, 1941 in Pittsfield she was a daughter of the late Mabel Hamel Noble. A lifelong resident of Pittsfield, she was educated in Pittsfield schools and was a 1959 graduate of Pittsfield High School. She was employed at Berkshire Life in Pittsfield for forty-one years as a product support specialist retiring in April of 2003. Linda was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Pittsfield. Friendly and outgoing, Linda enjoyed being with her family and many, many friends whom she cherished very much. One of her favorite pastimes was entertaining family and friends at her home. She was also and avid reader. She leaves her brother; Bill Noble and his wife Theresa of Pittsfield and her sister; Jane Waters and her husband Dave of Mansfield, CT. Linda also leaves her nephew; Justin Noble, his wife Melanie and their children, Hannah, Emily, Linda's goddaughter, and Amelia of Nashua, NH. Her nieces; Amy Coffey and her husband Kieran and their children, Connor and Claire of Mansfield, CT, Jennifer Kryzak and her husband Walt and their children, Nolan and Amanda of Cedarburg, WI, Rebecca DeMars and her husband Carl and their children, Alexander and Benjamin of Brunswick, ME. Linda also leaves her special friend and chosen sister, Mary Guglielmo of Pittsfield. She was predeceased by another nephew, William Noble, late of Pittsfield.

FUNERAL NOTICE: A Celebration of Life for Linda M. Ross of Pittsfield who died November 29, 2008 will be held Sunday, December 7th at 11:00AM at the DERY FUNERAL HOME in Pittsfield conducted by the Rev. Arthur Kaufman, chaplain at Berkshire Medical Center. Calling hours will be held Sunday morning from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM prior to the service at the Dery Funeral Home. At Linda's request, following cremation, the burial will be private. In lieu of flowers memorial donations in Linda's memory may be made to Kid's Place in care of the Dery Funeral Home, 54 Bradford St. Pittsfield, MA 01201.
