Obituary for Linda Marie Battaini Adriano

Linda Marie Battaini Adriano, 52, of 17 Faucett Lane, Pittsfield, died Thursday,
January 24, 2013, surrounded by her loving family after a long and courageous battle with cancer, at the home of her sister and caregiver. Mrs. Adriano had resided in Florida for twenty-one years prior to returning to Pittsfield in December 2012.
Born in Pittsfield on April 5, 1960, a daughter of Janet Swope Battaini Cornellier and the late Raymond M. Battaini, she was educated at Highland School and North Junior High School, and was a 1979 graduate of Taconic High School.
Linda worked as a waitress at Maria's Italian Restaurant and at Riverbend Golf Club, both in Ormond Beach, Florida. She had previously been a waitress at many restaurants in Pittsfield.
She loved her grandchildren. She also enjoyed the beach, country music, FaceBook, the Daytona 500, and Bike Week in Florida.
Besides her mother of Adams, she is survived by two sons, Ricardo Antonio Adriano and his fiancée, Ashli Onan of Palm Coast, Florida, and Derek Raymond Costa
of Daytona Beach, Florida; two daughters, Shaunna Lyn Battaini of Ormond Beach, Florida, and Natasha Kristina Adriano and her husband, Dontue McMillan of Daytona
Beach, Florida; three brothers, Mark A. Battaini of Adams, Raymond M. Battaini of Pittsfield, Christopher M. Battaini and his wife, Jaclyn, of the Town of Washington; and a sister, Cindy E. Canino and her husband, James, with whom she resided in Pittsfield; as well as five grandchildren, Brandon, Ki'arah, Tyshawn, Tay, and Jordyn; her companion of nine years, Richard Buxman of Palm Coast, Florida, and his three children; and her dog, Danny.
Mrs. Adriano was predeceased by a sister, Teresa Roberts and her husband, Scott
Roberts, a niece, Janet M. Roberts, and her stepfather, Paul Cornellier.

FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral services for Linda Marie Battaini Adriano will be held Wednesday, January 30, at 9:15 a.m. from DERY FUNERAL HOME with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m., at St. Charles Church celebrated by Rev. Peter A. Gregory, Pastor.
Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Calling hours will be Tuesday, from 4:00 to
7:00 p.m., at the Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Mrs.
Adriano may be made to HospiceCare in The Berkshires in care of the Funeral Home, 54
Bradford Street, Pittsfield.
