Obituary for Linda E. Aasen

LINDA ELLEN AASEN, 59, of 345 Red Barn Road, Dalton, died Saturday,
March 28, at home, where she had resided since 2005. Prior to that, she had resided
in Yorktown, Virginia, and Newport News, Virginia.Born in Bayside, Queens, New York, March 30, 1949, daughter of the late Ralph
and Hilde Sigle Aasen, she was a 1967 graduate of Bayside High School and graduated
from State University of New York at Binghamton with a bachelor of arts degree with
a major in physics.
Miss Aasen was employed as Personnel Recruiter for The Lee Group, a staffing
agency, in Newport News, Virginia, where she worked for 15 years retiring in 2004 due
to ill health.She enjoyed cooking and baking, gardening and plants, and was very fond of her
dogs.Miss Aasen is survived by a brother, Ronald C. Aasen and his wife, Sandra, of
Dalton; an uncle, Robert Sigle of Coos Bay, Oregon, a stepbrother, Wayne Travers of
Patterson, New Jersey, and a stepsister, Diana Lucanto of Naples, Indiana.


FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral services for LINDA ELLEN AASEN, who died Saturday, March 28,
will be Thursday, April 2, at 5:00 p.m., at DERY-FOLEY FUNERAL HOME, with Rev.
Bryan T. Lamberton, Pastor of Berkshire First Church of the Nazarene, officiating.
Calling hours will precede the service beginning at 3:00 p.m. Burial will be in Ashuelot
Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Miss Aasen may be made to
the National Multiple Sclerosis Society in care of the Funeral Home, 890 East Main
Street, Pittsfield.
