Obituary for Lillian C. Lampro

Lillian C. Lampro, 94, a longtime resident of Library Square in Dalton, passed away on to her final resting place on Monday, October 20, 2008, where she was a resident of Rosewood Specialty Care in Hillsboro, Oregon. She was born on January 20, 1914 in Becket, MA. She was educated in Becket schools and survived the Great Flood in Becket in 1927. Her mother, Sarah Jane Williams was born in Washington, MA and her father Zoel H. Lamontagne emigrated from the province of Quebec, Canada. She is predeceased by her husband Lubert L. Lampro who died in her loving arms in 1984, and a daughter, Victoria L. who died from cerebral palsy in 1965 at the age of 20. Mrs. Lampro was a homemaker and took great pride and care with family. She loved nature and gardening and was talented in quilting and home crafts. She created her own beautiful hand painted hollowed eggs. She greatly enjoyed skiing as a young lady. She and her husband Lubert were married on November 26, 1932. Her husband worked for Crane & Co. in Dalton, MA. They were faithful members of St. Agnes Church in Dalton. Mrs. Lampro moved to Oregon in 1988. She is survived by two daughters; Patricia J. Quelled of Hillsboro, Oregon with whom she lived before she entered Rosewood Specialty Care in April 2008, and Marie D. Higgins of Dalton. She also leaves 11 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren. She was greatly loved and will be dearly missed by all.

FUNERAL NOTICE: A graveside service for Lillian C. Lampro who died October 20, 2008 will be held on Friday at 10:00 AM in Fairview Cemetery in Dalton conducted by the Rev. Christopher Malatesta, pastor of St. Agnes Church in Dalton. There are no calling hours. Memorial donations in memory of Mrs. Lampro may be made to Memory Care c/o Rosewood Specialty Care, 2550 SE Century Blvd. Hillsboro, Oregon 97123. The DERY-FOLEY FUNERAL HOME in Dalton is in charge of arrangements.
