Obituary for Leroy F. Jacques Jr.

Leroy F. Jacques, Jr. 69, of 61 Taconic Street, Pittsfield died Tuesday, January 28, 2014 at Berkshire Medical Center.
Born on March 5, 1944 in Pittsfield a son of the late Leroy F. Jacques, Sr. and Lillian R. Londergan Jacques. He attended schools in Pittsfield and was a 1961 graduate of Pittsfield High School. He had served honorably in the United States Army and had served in the US Naval Reserve Seabees. At the time of his death he was a courtesy van driver at Kimball Farms in Lenox for the past two years. He also had worked as a driver at EPOCH at Melbourne Place in Pittsfield for 4 years. He had been a bus driver for BRTA for 16 years and had worked for the General Electric Company Power Transformer Dept. for 28 years. He enjoyed metal detecting. He is survived by his wife the former Veronica J. Dickerson whom he married Nov. 16, 2004. Two sons, Leroy F. Jacques, III of Pelion, SC and Thomas M. Jacques and his wife Tamiko Porter Jacques of Bellingham, MA. Three grandchildren, Kamori porter Jacques, Donna and Sonya Jacques. He was predeceased by a brother, Patrick Jacques.

FUNERAL NOTICE: A memorial celebration will be held at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours. Memorials in his memory may be made to Hospice Care in the Berkshires in care of Dery Funeral Home 54 Bradford St,. Pittsfield, Ma. 01201 which is handling arrangements
