Obituary for Leopoldo Cintron Jr.

Mr. Leopoldo "Leo" Cintron Jr., 56, of 17 Pleasant St. the Barrett House, Adams, MA died Tuesday at home after a long illness. Born on November 15, 1950 in Puerto Rico, he was a son of Dolores Diaz Cintron Ferrer of Pittsfield and the late Leopoldo Cintron Sr. He was educated in Philadelphia, PA schools where he graduated from high school. He came to the Berkshire's in 1986 and had resided in Adams for the past two years. He was employed as a machine operator for over twenty years at various factories in the Philadelphia area. He retired in the mid 1980's due to ill health. He enjoyed playing dominoes and bowling. He was also an accomplished jai lai player while in Puerto Rico. Besides his mother of Pittsfield, he also leaves a son, Leopoldo Cintron III of Philadelphia, PA. Four brothers, Juan Ferrer and Henry Ferrer both of Pittsfield, Segundo Cintron of Winter Haven, Florida and Angel Ferrer of Holyoke, MA. Four sisters, Julia Cintron of Philadelphia, PA, Inocencia Camacho of Inverness, FL, Sonia Ferrer of Holyoke, Pasquala Ferrer of Northampton and two grandchildren.

FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral services for Leopoldo "Leo" Cintron Jr., 56, of Adams who died February 27, 2007 will be held on Friday at 9:00 AM at St. Joseph's Church in Pittsfield. Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Friday from 8:00 to 8:30 prior to the service.
