Obituary for Leo Theoret

Leo P. "Paul" Theoret,93, died peacefully at home with his family at his side on Saturday Feb. 6, 2010. Born in St. Isadore, Ontario, Canada April 6, 1916, son of Medard and Suphronie Meilleur Theoret. He attended schools in Alburg, VT. Paul was employed at General Electric for 40 years retiring in 1977. He and his wife, Loretta loved wintering in Florida and attributed long life to time spent in the sunny south. Paul, a devoted husband, loving father and grandfather, enjoyed maintaining the home he built, his yard and garden, the out of doors, and was an avid Red Sox fan. He was predeceased by his wife of 68 years, Loretta B. Theoret who died February 16,2009. He leaves one son Paul &(Karen)Theoret of Troy, NY and four daughters Theresa & (Jack) Bartow, Anne-Marie & (Bill) Webster, Anita & (David) Pierce of Pittsfield and Louise & (Gunter) Breitmaier of Hinsdale, Ma. He also leaves 14 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. From a family of 14 children, Paul survived by two brothers Lawrence of Vt, Joseph of Ca. and one sister Lucille Breault of Tx. The family would like to extend their thanks to the staff of Hospice Care of the Berkshires for their tender loving care of our father.

Funeral Notice: Funeral Services for Leo "Paul" Theoret,93, of Pittsfield will be Thursday Feb. 11, 2010 at 9:15 from DERY FUNERAL HOME with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at St. Charles Church at 10am, celebrated by the Rev. Peter Gregory, pastor. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery. Calling hours at the funeral home will be Wednesday from 4-6pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, St. Charles Elevator Fund and Hospice Care of The Berkshires in care of the funeral home 54 Bradford st. 01201
