Obituary for Laura Lee Tornicelli

Laura Lee Tornicelli, 52, of 2 Mead Avenue in Pittsfield died Friday evening at home. Born on September 25, 1955 in Pittsfield she was a daughter of the late Roger and Leona Poopor Lussier. She was educated in Pittsfield schools and was 1974 graduate of Taconic High School. Laura Lee was employed as the cook manager for the Pittsfield Public Schools Food Service program for nineteen years, she retired this past February due to ill health. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family and friends. She leaves her husband, Angelo M. Tornicelli of Pittsfield whom she married on February 14, 2007 in Pittsfield. A son; Sean Stack of Pittsfield and two daughters; Megan Stack and Kimberly Tornicelli both of Pittsfield. Two brothers; Joseph Lussier and his wife Colleen of Peru and Robert Lussier of Pittsfield. She also leaves two sisters; Catherine Barnes and her husband Frank of Dalton and Lynda Rivers of Yuken, Oklahoma and her five grandchildren; Leah Leona Verchot, Jordyn Biagiotti, Baeleigh Biagiotti, Madisyn Biagiotti and Kaeleigh Tornicelli. She also leaves many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, the late Mark L. Lussier.

FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral services for Laura Lee Tornicelli, 52, of Pittsfield who died August 15, 2008 will be held Wednesday at 8:15 AM from the DERY FUNERAL HOME in Pittsfield followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 9:00 AM at St. Joseph Church celebrated by the Rev. Monsignor Michael Shershanovich, pastor. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery. Calling hours at the Dery Funeral Home will be held Tuesday from 4 to 7 PM. Memorial donations in memory of Laura Lee may be made to Hospice Care in the Berkshires in care of the funeral home, 54 Bradford St. Pittsfield, MA 01201.
