Obituary for Laura M. Bills

LAURA M. BILLS, 91, formerly of Old Windsor Road, Dalton, formerly long-time resident of Dalton, died Friday morning at Springside of Pittsfield where she had resided since February.
Born in Adams, June 15, 1916, a daughter of Edward and Elise Cormier Cormier she was educated in Adams and Dalton schools.
Primarily a homemaker, Mrs. Bills had worked in the Stationery Mill at Crane & Co., Inc., during the late 1940s.She was a communicant of St. Agnes Church.She enjoyed basketball, and in the late 1940s, was a member and captain of the Women's Basketball Team at the Dalton Community Recreation Association. She was also an avid
bowler and golfer, loved country music, and spending time with her grandchildren.
Her husband, Edward C. Bills, whom she married April 24, 1937, at St. Agnes
Church in Dalton, died January 26, 1985.
Mrs. Bills is survived by a son, Charles E. Bills of Petaluma, California; two
daughters, Patricia B. Hathaway of Dalton and Teresa L. "Terri" Wilbur of Lanes borough; eight grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

FUNERAL NOTICE: A private graveside service for LAURA M. BILLS, who died Friday, September
7, will be held in Fairview Cemetery. A memorial service will be held at St. Agnes Church at a later date. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, contributions in
memory of Mrs. Bills may be made to St. Agnes Church Memorial Fund in care of
DERY-FOLEY FUNERAL HOME, 890 East Main Street, Dalton. Mrs. Bills leaves her eight grandchildren, Mark, Gary, David, Sherri, Julie,
Matt, Justine, and Kristin, as well as eight great grandchildren, and several nieces and
nephews.She was pre-deceased by two sisters and three brothers.
