Obituary for Krzysztof H. Perner

KRZYSZTOF HENRICK PERNER, 67, of 101 Main Street, Dalton, died Saturday morning at his home.
Born in Lodz, Poland, on November 24, 1939, he was the son of Henrick
and Barbara E. Tomczak Perner.
He was educated in Poland schools and was a graduate of music school in
Poland, and while in Poland worked in the music theater as an entertainer.
He came to the United States in 1988 and settled in New York City where he lived for five years, then moved to Fort Lauderdale, Florida, where he lived for three years, before coming to The Berkshires. He was employed by Price Chapter in Lee as a baker from where he retired
in 2004. Mr. Perner was a member of First Baptist Church in Pittsfield where he served
on the Diaconate and sang in the choir. He enjoyed singing and music, and learning the
English language.
He leaves his wife, the former Wanda Eva Cegielka, whom he married June 24,
1966. Besides his wife, he is survived by a daughter Katarina Kuna of Copenhagen,
Denmark; a brother, Dr. Tomasz Perner of Poland, and two grandchildren.

FUNERAL NOTICE: A memorial service for KRZYSZTOF HENRICK PERNER, who died Saturday,
December 16, will be held Wednesday, December 27, at 11:00 a.m., at First Baptist
Church, 88 South Street, Pittsfield with Rev. Dr. Robert M. Rennie, Senior Minister,
officiating. Burial will be in Poland. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers,
contributions in memory of Mr. Perner may be made to First Baptist Church in care
of DERY FUNERAL HOME, 54 Bradford Street, Pittsfield. Mr. Perner leaves his two grandchildren, Paulina and Sara Kuna.
