Krisann Marie Rufo, 52, of Lenox Dale passed away in October Mountain State Forest on Wednesday, April 27, 2022. She left earth on her own terms and found peace.
Krisann was born in Pittsfield on January 8, 1970 to William and Judith Norton Rufo.
She was a 1988 graduate from Lenox Memorial High School. Most recently she was a massage therapist at Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health. She enjoyed doing crafts, teaching others to crochet, puzzles of all kinds, reading, movies, music and hiking. Her love of dogs led her to volunteering as a dog walker at the Berkshire Humane Society. Please remember her smile and healing touch.
Krisann is survived by her parents of Pittsfield, her son Nathan Bush and wife Amber and grandson Adam Jaxson Bush all of Florida. She leaves her sisters Sheryl Iodice, Bliss Rufo and husband Robert “Tony” Whalen all of Pittsfield and her brother Jeffrey and wife Lisa of Buskirk, NY. Her companion John Wright of Lenox Dale, Also, nieces and nephews Andie and Ben Nugent, and Claire and Jack Rufo.
The family extends heartfelt thanks and gratitude to Lenox Police Chief Stephen O'Brien, the Lenox Police and Fire Departments, the Massachusetts State Police Special Emergency Response Team, Massachusetts Environmental Police, the Berkshire County Sheriff's Office, Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation and the Lee Police Department. They are all our angels on earth.
