Obituary for Khuong Thi Lareau

KHUONG THI LAREAU, 81, of 555 Williams Street, Pittsfield, died Monday, March 26, 2013 peacefully at her home. She was born in An Huu, Vietnam on July 6, 1931, the
daughter of the late Ha Van Uc and Ho Thi Tam.
Mrs. Lareau was married to an Army Veteran for 51 years, moving all over the United states. Her pride
and joy was her family. She was the glue that held us all together and kept us together.She shall be sorely missed.
Mrs. Lareau married Thomas G. Lareau on January 9, 1961. He passed away on November 10, 2012.
She worked at the former A.H. Silk Mill for several years before her retirement. She moved to Troy, Michigan, in 1990 and returned to Pittsfield in 2000.
Mrs. Lareau enjoyed spending time doing "THINGS" with her family and her special Vietnamese
family here in Massachusetts. An Vo, Dung Nguyen, Yen & Cach Cao and family, Van & Chi Bui and family,
Bau Voung and family of Marlborough, MA., Luong Thi Hoa (Di Bay Nho), of Marlborough, MA, Hang & Hoe Le, the Nquyen Family, Tam, Anh and Chi Thu Nguyen of Troy, MI and many more. (She was like an adopted mom/grandmother to many of them.)
She enjoyed the outdoors,playind cards,gardening, fishing, and camping. She was always busy and on the go.
She was a spiritual person and amember of Zion's Evangelical Lutheran Church.
She is survived by five daughters: Suzanne Olson and her husband, Barry, of Seattle, WA; Ha Thi Dep, Kien Giang, Rach Gia, Vietnam, Ha Thi No', Kien Giang, Rach Gia, Vietnam, Monique Wood and her husband, Bruce, Sr., of East Nassau, NY, and Susan Lareau of Pittsfield; three sons, Michane Lareau and his wife, Marianne, of Haynesville, IL; Thang Lai, of Vietnam and David Lareau of Pittsfield; as well as ten grandchildren: Erik Olsen and his wife, Giulia; Laura Olson, Jason, Hailey, Ashley, and Joshua Lareau; Jamie, Tawnee, and Bruce, Jr., Wood; and Michael Krutiak; and a great granddaughter, Gemma Olson; as well as 2 sisters Ha T. Hoa and Ho T. Huon both from Kien Giang, Rach Gia, Vietnam.
She was pre-deceased by 2 brothers from Vietnam .

FUNERAL NOTICE:
Funeral services for Khuong Thi Lareau will be held Wednesday, April 3, at
11:00 AM, at Zion's Evangelical Lutheran Church with Rev. Timothy Weisman, Pastor,
officiating. Burial will follow in Pittsfield Cemetery. Calling hours will be Tuesday, from 4:00
to 7:00 PM, at DERY FUNERAL HOME. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Mrs.
Lareau may be made to Zion's Evangelical Lutheran Church or to Vietnam Veterans Chapter
65, both in care of the Funeral Home, 54 Bradford Street, Pittsfield.
