Obituary for Kevin M. Kittler

Kevin Mitchell Kittler, 64, of Pittsfield, died Tuesday, November 24, 2015, at Berkshire Medical Center.
Born in Adams on September 15, 1951, the son of Emil R. and Eleanor Rolland Kittler, he
grew up on the family farm in Cheshire and was a 1969 graduate of Adams High School.
In 1969, Mr. Kittler went to work for General Electric Company, where after completing
the tool maker apprentice course, was a Class A tool maker and machinist in the Ordnance
Systems Division. He retired in 1995 with more than thirty years service.
Mr. Kittler was a member of G.E.'s Quarter Century and Pensioners Clubs. He enjoyed
working in his yard, as well as hunting. He had an interest in guns and was a member of the
National Rifle Association.
Besides his mother and father of Cheshire, Mr. Kittler is survived by two sons, Kevin
and his wife, Carrie, of Pittsfield, and Scott and his wife, Lynda, of Pittsfield; his granddaughter,
Jamie Lee Kittler; grandsons, USAF Airman Andrew Kittler, Josh Kittler, Owen Kittler, Bryan
McCauley, Corey Abels, Lake Drieu and Austin Merriam; five brothers, Wayne (and Caroline) Kittler of Rensselaer, N.Y., Alan (and Karen) of Washington, Mass., Stephen (and Iris) of Hollywood, Florida, Jason Kittler (of Pittsfield), and Andrew (and Renee) Kittler of Brandon, Vt.; and a sister, Karen Drain of Cheshire; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Another daughter, Melissa Abels, died in 2013.

FUNERAL NOTICE:
Calling hours for Kevin Mitchell Kittler will be held Thursday, December 10, from 4:00 to
7:00 p.m., at DERY-CHESHIRE FUNERAL HOME (Route 8), Cheshire.
A graveside service will be held Friday, December 11, at 11:00 a.m., at Bellevue
Cemetery in Adams with Rev. Peter A. Gregory, Pastor of St. Charles Church in Pittsfield,
Officiating. Those attending are invited to meet at the DERY-CHESHIRE FUNERAL HOME by
10:30 a.m., to travel in procession.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Mr. Kittler may be made to Shriners Hospital in care of the Funeral Home, P.O. Box 445, Cheshire, 01225.
