Obituary for Kevin L. Fowler

Kevin Lee Fowler, 61, died peacefully at his home Friday, November 27, 2015. He was the son of the late Leroy M. Fowler and Dolores L. Fowler. He will be sadly missed by his two brothers; Kenneth Fowler of Lenox, Robert Fowler of Pittsfield, three sisters, Deborah Fowler of Pittsfield, Donna Piziak of Wilsonville, Alabama, Kimberly Markunas of Nashua New Hampshire and nine nieces and nephews.
Kevin is survived by his beloved partner Gilda Houldsworth and his first wife Carrie Topham of Arkansas and predeceased by his second wife Dorothy Demary of Pittsfield.
Kevin graduated from Taconic High School before entering the U.S. Navy. After his discharge from service he moved to Gautier, Mississippi where he worked for Ingalls Shipbuilding as a stores supervisor. Ingalls Shipbuilding was responsible for outfitting and sea trials of new Naval Ships including the U.S.S. Tarawa (LHA1). Upon moving back to Pittsfield he worked in a variety of hospitality related jobs before securing a position with Boyd Engineering in South Lee.
Currently a Dean's List student of New England College, Kevin held a 3.95 GPA in his new pursuit of a BA in Psychology. Kevin also leaves behind his dearly loved black Labrador, Ernie and cat, Rascal.

FUNERAL NOTICE: A Memorial Service for Kevin L. Folwer of Pittsfield who died November 27, 2015 will be held Friday at 7PM at the DERY FUNERAL HOME. Calling hours will be held prior to the service from 5 to 7 PM. In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to the Eleanor Sonsini Animal Shelter in Pittsfield in care of the funeral home, 54 Bradford St. Pittsfield, MA 01201.
