Obituary for Kenneth J. Leclair Sr.

KENNETH JAMES LeCLAIR, SR., 77, of 680 Elm Street, Pittsfield, died
peacefully on Sunday, March 16, at Berkshire Medical Center, surrounded by his loving
family. Born in Pittsfield, November 4, 1920, the son of Frank and Flora LaDouceur
LeClair, he was a graduate of Pittsfield High School. Mr. LeClair was employed as a shipper and receiver for General Electric
Company for ten years retiring in 1975. He had previously worked as a truck driver
for Carr Hardware for several years.
He was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church and a member of the Senior
Center. He had been a volunteer at Berkshire Medical Center Information Desk for
12 years until 2001. He enjoyed woodworking and traveling. Mr. LeClair leaves his wife, the former Margaret E. Barscz, whom he married
June 10, 1950, in St. Charles Church.
Besides his wife, he is survived by three sons, Kenneth J. LeClair, Jr., of North
Adams, Steven J. LeClair of Rome, Georgia, and Thomas D. LeClair of Pittsfield; two
daughters, Paulette Lefebvre of Augusta, Georgia, and Theresa R. Burdeau of Easthampton; eleven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren, and many nieces and
nephews, including Dolly Neary, Shelley Sienkiewicz, and Helen Scipone.

FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral services for KENNETH JAMES LeCLAIR, SR., will be Wednesday,
March 19, at 9:15 a.m., from DERY FUNERAL HOME, with a Liturgy of Christian
Burial at 10:00 a.m., at Sacred Heart Church, celebrated by Rev. James K. Joyce, Pastor.
Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Calling hours will be Tuesday (today) from
4:00 to 7:00 p.m., at the Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, contributions in
memory of Mr. LeClair may be made to HospiceCare in The Berkshires in care of the
Funeral Home, 54 Bradford Street, Pittsfield.
