Kelly Jean Duda Blanchard, 38, of 890 Stokes Bluff Road, Garnet, South Carolina died Wednesday, December 6, 2006 at Memorial Health in Savannah, Georgia after a courageous battle with cancer. She has resided in South Carolina since 2004. Prior to moving to South Carolina she was a longtime Pittsfield, Ma. resident. Born on March 22, 1968 in Pittsfield, Ma. the daughter of John F. Duda Sr. and Linda Dawley Duda. She attended schools in Pittsfield and was a 1986 graduate of Taconic High School. In 1987 she became certified as a travel agent from Associated Schools, Inc. in Miami, FL. For the past four years she was co-owner and vice president of CSB Transportation and CSB Transportation Services. A lover of horse's she worked at Over Meade Farm and Blythewood Farm. She also had worked at the former A&P in 1986. She was a member of the mixed pro league at Imperial Bowl and an active bowler at Imperial Bowl throughout her teen and adult life. She enjoyed downhill skiing, horseback riding and music especially Metallica. Besides her parents of Pittsfield she is survived by her husband, Christopher S. Blanchard whom she married in June of 2003. Two daughters, Crystal S. and Casey S. Blanchard both at home. A brother, John F. Duda, Jr. of West Springfield, Ma. and A sister, Kristina Turner of Pittsfield, Ma. Her Paternal Grandmother Jessie Pisiewski Duda of Pittsfield, Ma. Maternal Grandmother Rose DiNicola Dawley of Pittsfield, Ma.


FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral services for Kelly Jean Duda Blanchard who died Dec. 6, 2006 after a courageous battle with cancer, will be held Saturday with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, celebrated by the Rev. Geoffrey J. Deeker CSS pastor. There are no calling hours. The family suggests that in lieu of flowers memorials in her memory be made to The Crystal and Casey Blanchard Fund in care of John & Linda Duda, 25 McKinley Terrace, Pittsfield, Ma. 01201. Kelly is lovingly survived by her Father and Mother in law David and Ruth Blanchard of Stockbridge, Ma. Her brother in law's, Michael and his wife Patricia Blanchard, Henry and his wife Jane Blanchard, all of Stockbridge, Ma. Sister in law, Julie MacWilliams and her husband Kelly of Orange, CA. Also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins. She was predeceased by her grandfathers, Matthew Duda and Norman Dawley. Dery Funeral Home in Pittsfield is handling local arrangements.
