Obituary for Kathleen M. Blanchard

KATHLEEN M. (Walker) BLANCHARD, 54, of 31 Kathy Way, Pittsfield, died Thursday evening at Berkshire Medical Center of complications due to diabetes. Born in Worcester, September 18, 1952, the daughter of Charles K. and Marjorie
Orstrom Walker, she attended schools in Worcester and was a 1970 graduate of Burncoat
High School. She also attended Berkshire Community College.
At the time of her death, Mrs. Blanchard was a resource planner for Western Massachusetts Electric Company for where she had worked for 21 years. She was a communicant of St. Mary the Morning Star Church.
She leaves her husband, Philip J. Blanchard, III., whom she married March 10,
1979. Besides her husband, Mrs. Blanchard is survived by a son, Philip J. Blanchard,IV; two daughters, Kelly A. Chenail of Enfield, Connecticut, and Kristen E. Blanchard
of Boston; a sister, Linda McHugh of Charleston, South Carolina; and a granddaughter.

FUNERAL NOTICE: A Liturgy of Christian Burial for KATHLEEN M. (Walker) BLANCHARD,

who died Thursday, December 7, will be Thursday, December 14 at 10:00 a.m., at St.
Mary The Morning Star Church celebrated by Rev. Paul A. Bombardier, Pastor. There
are no calling hours. Following cremation, burial will be in the family plot at St.
Joseph's Cemetery in Leicester, Massachusetts. In lieu of flowers, contributions in
memory of Mrs. Blanchard may be made to the American Diabetes Association in care of
DERY FUNERAL HOME, 54 Bradford Street, Pittsfield.
Mrs. Blanchard was pre-deceased by her two brothers, Robert and Jeffrey, and
a sister, Patricia Parker. She leaves her granddaughter, Lauren E. Chenail, her daughter-
in-law, Andrea, son-in-law, Matthew Chenail, brother-in-law, Robert McHugh, and
several nieces and nephews.
