Katherine Rose Chagnon, 25, of 42A North Sturbridge Road,Charlton, MA died Friday at Harrington Memorial Hospital in Southbridge, MA
after being stricken with apparent heart failure while at work in Sturbridge.
Born on May 25, 1982 in San Diego, CA she was a daughter of James T. Regan of
Wareham, MA and Rose Abbasciano Regan of Mashpee, MA. She had resided in Sturbridge, Pittsfield and Mashpee prior to moving to Charlton. She was educated in Mashpee schools and was a 2000 graduate of Mashpee High School. She had also
attended Western New England College at one time. At the time of her death she
was employed as the assistant general manager at the Comfort Inn & Suites in
Sturbridge, MA where she had worked for the past year. Prior to that she had
been employed as the manager for Olympia Sports Stores in Auburn and in Pittsfield. She was a communicant of St. Ann's Church in Sturbridge, MA. She enjoyed going to the beach and being with family. Her greatest joy was being a
"mom". She was also a fan of the Boston Red Sox. Besides her parents, she leaves
her husband, Brian J. Chagnon of Charlton, MA whom she married on October 9,
2004 at St. Agnes Church in Dalton, MA. Her daughter, Audrey L. Chagnon at home.
A brother, James P. Regan of Wareham, MA and a sister, Lisa M. Regan of
Leominster, MA. She also leaves her father and mother in-law, Edward A. and
Patricia Vincent Chagnon of Dalton, MA.

FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral services for Katherine Rose Chagnon, 25, who died June 8, 2007 will be held Wednesday at 9:00 AM from the DERY FUNERAL HOME in Pittsfield, MA followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM at St.
Agnes Church in Dalton, MA celebrated by the Rev. Michael Twohig of the Diocese
of Springfield. Burial will follow in Pittsfield Cemetery. Calling hours will be
held Tuesday from 4 to 8 PM at the Dery Funeral Home in Pittsfield. Katherine also leaves her father and mother in-law, Edward A. and Patricia Vincent Chagnon of Dalton. Her brother-in-law, Craig M. Chagnon and his wife Amanda and her nephew Tyler Chagnon. Katherine's greatest joy was being a "mom" and being with her family and friends. Memorial donations in her memory may be made to the Audrey L. Chagnon Trust Fund in care of the funeral home, 54 Bradford Street, Pittsfield, MA 01201.
