Julia Marie Bennett Breault Gomes, 75, formerly of Tyler Street Extension, passed away March 22, 2018 at Mount Carmel Care Center in Lenox.
She was born February 18, 1943 in St. Georges, Newfoundland, Canada to the late Leo Paul Bennett and Margaret Helen Blanchard Bennett. Julia attended schools in Newfoundland and was a high school graduate. She was employed for 35 years by General Electric and also worked previously for Howard Johnsons, Ground Round and Price Chopper. Julia enjoyed playing BINGO, Pitch, and shooting pool.
She leaves behind her daughter, Renée Breault of Exeter, NH; four sons, Brian M. Breault and his wife Colleen of Glenville, NY, Robert Dean Breault, Paul Leo Breault, and Frank Gomes III, all of Pittsfield; two sisters, Shirley Blanchard and Brenda McDonald of St. George, NF, CA; two brothers, Phonse Bennett of Stevenville Crossing, NF, CA, and Hilary Bennett of St. Georges, NF, CA; six grandchildren, Brittany, Tara, Kaitlyn, Kelsey, Angeliqué, and Seth; three great-grandchildren, Zalla, Ella and Lily. She was predeceased by her brothers and sisters, Jerry Bennett, Phyllis Connolly, Von Blanchard, and Vital Bennett.
FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral services for Julia Marie Bennett Breault Gomes will be held Tuesday March 27, 2018 with A Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10:00 am at St. Charles Church, Celebrated by the Rev. Michael Wood, Pastor and the Rev. Peter A. Gregory, Pastor Emeritus. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family. The omission of flowers is requested by the family.
