Obituary for Judith Butler Messenger

Judith Butler Messenger, 67, of Mill Houses of Adams, formerly of
Cheshire, died May 10, 2013, she passed away peacefully in her sleep.
She graduated from St. Joseph's High School in Pittsfield, MA, and attended
Berkshire Community College where she obtained her business degree. She worked
in various local banks until she moved with her family to Rowley, MA where she
was manager of Georgetown Savings Bank, until her retirement in 2000.
She returned to live in Cheshire to be closer to her family, where she enjoyed
spending time with her brother John Butler and his wife Carleen, sisters Margaret
Richardson, Diane Warner, and Kathy Gamble and her husband William from North
Carolina, and several nieces and nephews.
A communicant of St. Mary's of the Assumption Church in Cheshire, Judy was
especially grateful to Deacon's Bob Hitter and & Piot Calik and Father David
Raymond all of whom brought her the Holy Eucharist and to raise her spirits.
She is survived by her son Matthew Messenger and his wife Katrina of Burlington,
VT. They are expecting their first child in June, and this coming event was a
special joy to Judy, brother John Butler and wife Carleen, sisters: Margaret
Richardson, Diane Warner, Kathy and her husband William Gamble, and several
nieces and nephews.

Funeral Notice: A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be held Monday, May 13,2013, at 11:00 A.M. at Saint Mary of the Assumption Church, Cheshire, Ma. celebrated by the Rev. David Raymond, pastor. There are no calling hours.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Mary's of the Assumption
Church. Following mass at St. Mary's Church, there will be a reception in St. Mary's
Hall, for friends and family.
The Dery-Cheshire Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
