Obituary for Judith Deary Chabot

Judith Deary Chabot, 57, of 6 Burr Drive, Dalton, MA passed away on Tuesday, March 4, 2014 at Williamstown Commons. Born on September 4, 1956 in Webster, MA, she was a daughter of the late Thomas F. "Wiggs" and Irene M. Grzyb Deary. She had resided in Dalton for the past thirteen years and prior to that had resided in Satellite Beach, FL. Judy was educated in Webster, MA schools and was a 1974 graduate of Bartlett High School. She went on to earn her nursing degree in 1977 from the Worcester City Hospital School of Nursing. A registered nurse, at the time of her death she was serving as school nurse at St. Agnes Academy in Dalton where she had worked since 2003. She also served as the camp nurse in the summer for Camp Holy Cross in Goshen, MA and at one time for the Visiting Nurse Association through Berkshire Medical Center. A Eucharistic Minister of St. Agnes Church in Dalton, Judy was very active at the church serving as a past member of the Hospitality Committee and a volunteer with the St. Agnes Academy P.T.O. She was also a member of the Massachusetts Health Association for Registered Nurses. An avid fan of the New England Patriots and Boston Red Sox, she also enjoyed cooking, painting, gardening and camping. Married August 15, 1992, she leaves her husband William E. Chabot of Dalton and her twin children; Michael R. Chabot and Alexandra N. Chabot both of Dalton, MA. Her brother; Michael E. Deary and his wife Vikki of Woodstock, CT and her sister; Karen A. Consiglio and her husband John of Colchester, CT. Her mother-in-law; Judith E. Black and her husband Roger of Priest River, Idaho. She also leaves her aunt; Esther "Tush" Grzyb of Webster, MA and her many nieces and nephews; particularly Jason and Christopher Consiglio and Alyssa and Jordan Deary, as well as her best friend; Christine Meunier of Dalton.

FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral services for Judith Chabot, 57, of Dalton, MA who died March 4, 2014 will be held Saturday, March 15, 2014 with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM at St. Agnes Church, 489 Main Street, Dalton, MA celebrated by the Rev. Christopher Malatesta, pastor. Burial will follow in the spring in Ashuelot Cemetery in Dalton. Calling hours for Judy will be held Friday, March 14, 2014 from 4 to 7 PM at St. Agnes Church. Memorial donations in memory of Judy may be made to St. Agnes Academy in care of the DERY-FOLEY FUNERAL HOME, 890 Main Street, Dalton, MA 01226 which is handling arrangements.
