Juana Lisandra Tomas-Ramos, just a few days shy of her 13th birthday, has departed this life to be with her angels in heaven of which she has many. She has had many earth angels as well.

Juana will be profoundly missed by her parents, father Jose Tomas Tino of Mexico, originally Guatemala, and her mother Ana Ramos Rales of W. Stockbridge, as well as her long term foster parents, Gordon and Carol Clark, and family, of Pittsfield. Words cannot express the brightness and joy this little girl has brought into all our lives. She also leaves behind a caring stepdad, Christian, and all her dear siblings, Pedro, Jonathan, Esmeralda, Antony, Evelyn, Citlali, and Xiomara.

Juana's absence will be felt by the devoted staff of Seven Hills Pediatric Center in Groton, MA., where Juana has resided this past year. In her life also were any number of others who cared for her, doctors, nurses, and staff at Boston Children's Hospital, at Franciscan Childrens, and her primary care team at Community Health Programs of Great Barrington, where she endeared herself to so many. There were so many social workers, home care helpers, teachers, and her physical therapist, all who cared deeply for her as part of Equipo de Juana, Team Juana.

We are all left with the gift of wonderful memories, such as listening to Juana's most excellent choices in music with her, from salsa to doo-wop, gospel, jazz, classical, children's choirs, and of course Disney musicals. Juana loved company, hearing people talk close by her side, and relished in all the love and laughter around her. And sprinkled into all that was Juana's infectious giggle, surely one of the best sounds on earth. Godspeed, little one, always and ever a part of us.

Funeral services will be private with burial in St. Joseph Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made out to the Seven Hills Foundation and mailed to Dery Funeral Home, 54 Bradford St, Pittsfield, MA 01201.
