Obituary for Joshua W Burch

JOSHUA W BURCH 90, PITTSFIELD, passed away on Sunday October 28, 2018 away at Mt. Greylock Extended Care Facility of renal failure.
Predeceased by his beloved wife Bernice J. Burch, his parents, Eunice Sims Burch and Robert Burch, and his siblings, Robert James Burch and Gertrude Burch. Survived by his brother, Ivie R. Burch, Panama City Bch, Fl. Joshua was born on Redfish Point, Fl, and raised in Panama City Bch, fl.
He is a Korean War Veteran, served in the Army from 1949-1952, earning an Occupational medal (Japan) and a Korean Service Metal with 4 bronze service stars. He received a high school diploma after returning from the war. Retired from GE 1995. Joshua loved the Lord, became an ordained Minister. A member of Antioch Church Springfield, FL.
He was a patient and quiet man who enjoyed family time, fishing, painting, woodworking, and reading the bible. Survived by his children: Cynthia A. Frye, MA, Beverly K. Bolden, VA. Sylvia D Cousin, AL (spouse) Albert. Joshua W. Burch, Jr. MA (spouse) Kathy. Karen L. Pierce, MA (spouse) Bernie. Lori Y. Ladd, FL (spouse) Bruce. He leaves behind several grand, great and great, great grandchildren, and many other relatives.
FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral services for Mr. Burch will be held, Thursday, November 8, 2018 at 11am at DERY FUNERAL HOME, 54 Bradford Street, Pittsfield. Followed by Gravesite burial at Pittsfield Cemetery. Calling hours will precede the service from 10am to 11am. Memorial contributions may be made in his name to the National Kidney Foundation in care of the funeral home.
