Obituary for Joseph A. Gaudette

JOSEPH ALBERT GAUDETTE, 70, of 2454 Oriole Lane, South Daytona,
Florida, died Sunday morning at the home of his son, Robert, in Hinsdale.
Born in Pittsfield, April 24, 1937, the son of Lucien and Evelyn Provost Gaudette,
he was a graduate of St. Joseph Central High School.
He served in the United States Air Force, serving with its Security Service, from
March 1, 1957, to January 15, 1963.
Mr. Gaudette was employed as a computer programmer for General Electric
Company for 32 years retiring in 1993.
He was a Boston Red Sox and New York Giants fan, who also enjoyed fishing,
golfing, bowling in leagues, and time with his grandchildren.
Mr. Gaudette is survived by his wife, the former Patricia Gonska, whom he married February 10, 1962.Besides his wife, he is survived by five sons, Robert J. Gaudette of Hinsdale,
Michael J. Gaudette of Pittsfield, Joseph A. Gaudette of South Daytona, Florida; James
L. Gaudette of Pittsfield, and Scott R. Gaudette of Pittsfield; three daughters, Terri A.
Thorne of Lee, Cherri J. Cahalan of Lee, and Lisa M. Gaudette of Pittsfield; two sisters,
Carolyn Gaudette of Pittsfield and Kathy Eichorn of Pittsfield; 18grandchildren and three
great grandchildren.


FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral services for JOSEPH ALBERT GAUDETTE, who died Sunday,
December 16, will be Thursday, December 20, at 8:15 a.m. from DERY FUNERAL
HOME, with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 9:00 a.m., at St. Joseph Church, celebrated
by Rev. Msgr. Michael A. Shershanovich, Pastor. Burial will follow in St. Joseph's
Cemetery. Calling hours will be Wednesday, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m., at the Funeral
Home. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Mr. Gaudette may be made to
the Jimmy Fund or to the charity of one's choice in care of the Funeral Home, 54
Bradford Street, Pittsfield.
Mr. Gaudette is also survived by his mother-in-law, Helen Gonska; daughters-
in-law, Kimberly Yarter, Tina Gaudette, Tammy Gaudette, and Stephanie Gaudette;
sons-in-law, Brian Thorne, William Cahalan, Donald Perreault, and Michael Aikenburgh; grandchildren, Jennifer, Jessica,, James, Kayla, Kimberly, Joshua, Caitlin,
Alishia, Ryan, Corey, Nickolas, Austin, Jacob, Tyler, Matthew, Kelsey,
Brandon, and Jordan; great grandchildren, Rhiannon, Aiden, and Alexander; and several
nieces and nephews and grandnieces and grandnephews.
