Obituary for John Pomeroy
John E. Pomeroy, 50, of Pittsfield, died June 7, 2021 at his home. He was born in Niskayuna, New York on August 17, 1970 to Ruth Greenleaf and the late Robert Doody.
He attended Pittsfield schools and proudly served in the United States Army, from where he was honorably discharged in 1999.
Besides his father, he was predeceased by his step-father, Robert J. Pomeroy Jr., and step-brother, Robert J. Pomeroy III.
He leaves behind his wife, Laurie Pomeroy and step-son, Anthony Shufelt. His mother, Ruth and Stan Greenleaf. His sisters, Patricia and Chuck Huston, Lynn Blohm and family, Kim and David Pemble and family, Pamela Egan and family, as well as his beloved cats.
Per his wishes, there will be no services. John’s struggles are over and he is at peace.
