Obituary for John G. O'Brien
John G. O’Brien, 91 of Sugar Hill in Dalton, formerly of Pittsfield, MA, passed away January 4, 2021 at Berkshire Medical Center.
Born in Pittsfield on July 25, 1929, he was the son of John G. and Eva M. Gregoire O’Brien.
He was a graduate of Pittsfield High School, served his country in the National Guard and had a long career in the purchasing department at General Electric.
Survivors include his nephew, David and wife Veronica of Pittsfield; two nieces, Janice Darby and fiancee Engin Kucuk of West Jordan UT, Elaine Grandbois of Myrtle Beach, SC, one cousin Mary McCoy of Amherst New Hampshire and long time friend Willard “Huck” Hodgkins and his wife Judy.
There will be no services at this time. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to the charity of your choice in care of Dery Funeral Home, 54 Bradford St, Pittsfield, MA 01201.
