Obituary for John J. Lewis

John J. Lewis, 57, of 73 Mohegan Street, Pittsfield, died Wednesday, July 20, 2016, at Berkshire Medical Center.
Born in Pittsfield on June 28, 1959, the son of Richard E. and Janet Kurtz Lewis, he
attended local schools
He was a sports fan, especially of the Red Sox, Celtics, and Patriots, but his grandchildren were his greatest love.
Mr. Lewis leaves his wife, the former Christie Hunt, whom he married February 14, 1998.
He is also survived by two daughters, Cassandra Alexander of Pittsfield and Nicole
Lewis of Pittsfield; a son, John Lewis; five brothers, Michael Lewis, Edward Lewis, Richard Lewis,
Joseph Lewis, and William Lewis; three sisters, Elizabeth Lewis Snyder, Dorothy Lewis, and
Katheryn Lewis Bradley; as well as his seven grandchildren, Valente Ellerbee-Lewis, Brodie
Phillips-Lewis, John Lewis, Jr., Saphire Lewis, Lilly Anna Signor, Mya McFadden, and Serenity
McFadden.

FUNERAL NOTICE:
Calling hours for John J. Lewis will be held Monday, July 25, from 12:00 to 3:00 p.m.,
at DERY FUNERAL HOME in Pittsfield. Burial will be at a later date in St. Joseph's Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society in care of the Funeral Home, 54 Bradford Street, Pittsfield.
